It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel with inferior designs; instead, it's a direct copy of the classic Microsoft Trackball Explorer, which is arguably the most comfortable design ever made. I don't see myself using any other trackball design. Despite its price, this trackball exceeds expectations in quality, especially the scroll wheel, which is often a weak point in similarly priced devices. It doesn't feel flimsy or noisy. The ProtoArc Trackball has pleasantly surprised me with its smooth, refined, attractive, and comfortable design. I particularly like the bright orange scroll wheel and the RGB lighting, and the switches feel high-quality. However, the placement of the connection selection switch and the illumination switch could be more convenient if they were on top instead of underneath the device. Adding padding to the palm rest would also be a nice improvement. Overall, it's a very good trackball and is priced reasonably.
